Performing Arts Students Win Scholarships
Six students has won a scholarship place on a degree course
The Performing Arts courses, which are offered at the Abingdon Campus, are highly regarded and students achieve significant success. “Already this year six students have won places at accredited Drama Schools which is a fantastic achievement as there are only 20 places available nationally with over 700 applicants competing for them”, said Judy Gray, Head of Performing Arts at the College.
Each of the six students has won a scholarship place on a degree course focussing on a particular specialist area, including dance, musical theatre, acting and production, “thus highlighting the range and flexibility of the training they have received at Abingdon and Witney College”.
The students are: Anthony Illot, Jonathan Williams, Jess Boyd, Hannah Hoodless, Nathan Daniel and Daniel Jupp. The Drama Schools they will be attending are: Guildford School of Acting and Musical Theatre, East15 School of Acting, Urdang School of Dance, and the Laines School of Theatre.
