NUS cards

Abingdon and Witney College is affiliated to the National Union of Students which means that for every NUS Extra card sold £5 is returned back to the College. NUS membership costs £11 and entitles you to discounts at a range of high-street retailers, cinemas, theatres, sports centres etc. This money then is then spent by the College on student things! In the past the money has been spent on Plasma TV screens, student seating areas and sports team equipment.

Student Reps

Each course or tutor group is encouraged to elect at least one course rep. Student Rep meetings are held once every term and Reps are asked to bring forward ideas, opinion and views of their fellow students on college life. All meetings are minuted and actions are taken to make student life in college as enjoyable, comfortable and positive as possible. By being an elected union member or a student rep you can help make positive and significant changes to college life and help to improve standards.

student govenor

Each year teo students are elected to join the college Board of Governors. They provide the vital link between the students and the Governing Body by listening to and then passing on student opinions about their courses and general life in college, to the Governors.
