Everyday Maths

Abingdon & Witney College offers a range of courses to help you brush up on your maths skills. We all use numbers everywhere – such as measuring, doing the shopping and reading charts in newspapers. Whether you are looking for help getting to grips with numbers yourself, to help your children with their maths or to get a qualification to improve your job prospects, we have a course for you. What’s more, they are free!

Our courses run every day of the week throughout the college year. You can join a course any time. When you contact us you will be offered the opportunity to talk with a tutor to discuss your needs. That way we can place you on the course that is best for you.

The classes last for two hours and run during the day and evenings on an informal basis, with a break part way through. Students aged 19 and over are welcome. Most students find it a very different environment to their memories of school. Activities are a mixture of group work and individual work. Homework is optional – we can provide worksheets for you to practise in your own time.

No Costs!

There is no fee for the course or the exam and no need to buy any text books or calculators.
